The Exploring Antinatalism Podcast is the world's first podcast dedicated to the subject of Antinatalism, created by Antinatalists! Antinatalism, (Or Anti-Natalism.) Is defined by Wikipedia as, “A philosophical position and social movement that assigns a negative value to birth.” The world of Antinatalism is very vast, and though most Antinatalists do share a kernel of the same core idea, what one Antinatalist believes from the next can be wildly different. What The Exploring Antinatalism Podcast seeks to showcase,  is a wide range of the various perspectives and ideas throughout Antinatalism as it exists today, through interviews with Antinatalist thinkers and creators of all kinds. Exploring Antinatalism was originally founded in early 2020 by various members of the now extinct, Rogue Philosophy: Antinatalism Discord, but soon grew away from being a team effort, to a mostly solo project run and hosted by long time Antinatalist content producer, Amanda ‘Oldphan’ Sukenick. (Foreverwolffilms on YouTube.), with the exception of sometimes host/co-host, Mark J. Maharaj (Question Mark? on YouTube). Thank you for listening to Exploring Antinatalism!

"Omelas" Antinatalism, Extinction, and the End of Procreative Self-Corruption OUT NOW!

Watch the music video version, HERE!: https://youtu.be/_GlX8mG510M

"Omelas" by Amanda Sukenick (With help by ChatGPT ; D)
Ukulele & vocals Performed by Rei - Thank you!!
Dedicated to Matti Häyry, without whom none of this would be possible.

    In the dark, underneath
I'm the child they hide beneath their feet
Locked away from the world's sweet song
From womb to tomb, but I don't belong

Do they know the price they pay
For their joy, each and every day
I'm the one they've chosen to ignore
    Sacrificed behind this hidden door

    Chorus:
    Omelas, Omelas, city of delight
Omelas, Omelas, but for me, it's an endless night
Omelas, Omelas, a burden, a hidden stain
Omelas, Omelas, in the shadows, I'll remain

I dream of nothing, of broken chains
Escaping the darkness, where suffering reigns
But in Omelas, our destiny is sealed
Trapped in this cycle, our voices concealed

No more, no more, let the cycle end
It’s no more suffering that we must defend
Forced into existence, against our will
Omelasian children, let’s make an end

    Chorus

    Bridge:
    Every constructive eruption
    Feeds the collective seduction
But I’ll cause a destructive disruption
One day end this procreative corruption

And so friends, let the cycle end
It’s no more suffering, that we must defend
    Omelasian children, lets walk away
There’s no need for another day

To those who dare, to truly care, why create, this despair

Perfect ideas for a perfect time

At this crazy time in the world, this podcast brings up topics that have meaningful and thoughtful ideas about why we're here and the ethics of bringing a new life into this world. It has a broad spectrum of sub-catagories within the antinatalism philosophy and hits the hard questions of why are we here and should we even continue to exist. Great show!

Please define terms before discussing them

Hi—I was really looking forward to this podcast, but so far in the first episode the conversation launches into discussion of different positions/philosophical frameworks but no explanation or definition of these terms or positions is provided. This results (probably unintentionally) in projecting an elitist/exclusionary vibe. Please provide enough context for those who are new to this discussion to be able to follow the conversation!
